The Treasurer is accountable to the Board of Directors of the Victoria Therapeutic Riding Association for their performance. They are responsible for overseeing the financial management of VTRA and ensuring that the organization adheres to proper financial procedures. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining financial transparency, helping the organization comply with legal requirements and ensuring long-term financial sustainability. The Treasurer works closely with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director and the Finance Manager to support the financial health and growth of the organization. The treasurer chairs the Finance Committee and advises other board committees, as needed.
